NXT-CT™ Carbide Tipped Blade Information
Material Guidelines
Break-In and General Use Tips
Machine type and condition are important to the carbide tipped blade.
A carbide tipped blade must be honed in to get the best performance out of the blade. To break in, use correct speed and reduce feed.
Coolant and coolant mix are very important factors in the performance of carbide tipped blades. Test coolant and add or replace often.
Cutting Tips
Carbide tipped bandsaw blades must have a constant chip load through the cut.
Entering and exiting of the material being cut should be slow. Again, maintain a constant chip load.
When cutting with a carbide tipped band, you must keep vibration out of the band. Adjust speed and feed to reduce vibration.
